Will you buy a robot from Tesla? During Tesla AI Day (Artificial Intelligence Day) Elon Musk announced the development of humanoid robots. Called Tesla Bot, the machine is expected to be built as early as next year, and will resemble a human in shape. The project involves building a robot measuring just over 170 cm, which will be able to move on two legs in an upright position at speeds of up to 8 km/h. It will be able to lift up to 68kg and carry just over 20kg. It will weigh just 57kg by itself thanks to the use of lightweight materials. Instead of a head it will have a display showing various information. The Tesla Bot is expected to move effortlessly in the world of people, and the designers are to ensure that it is safe for them. Much attention will be paid to ensuring that the bot can be easily turned off. The bots will primarily be used for work in hazardous conditions and tedious, repetitive tasks.

According to the company's CEO, currently produced autonomous vehicles have reached such a high level of sophistication that the artificial intelligence algorithms responsible for controlling the vehicles can be transferred to the motion control systems of the new robot, thus reducing the cost and time needed to create new algorithms.
In space, the machine will navigate using cameras installed in the "head" and the FSD (Full Self-Driving) system, which is supposed to control the movement of the device completely autonomously.
It appears that humanoid robots will soon move from cinema halls to the streets and into our homes. They will do jobs that can be tedious for humans. Tesla believes that in the future, manual labor will be the choice. Does the machine have a chance of being made a reality? Musk has a number of unfilled visions, but there are several arguments for that the prototype will see the light of day. Suitable engineers are still being sought to work on the project and there is a lot of interest in the subject.
It should also be noted that if it does happen, it will come out of the hands of someone who is opposed to autonomous robots, so it could be called automated, but not an autonomous or thinking machine.
Multiswitch system in a multi-family building. Systems based on multiswitches are professional and the most popular way to deliver terrestrial TV (FM/DAB and DVB-T/T2) and satellite SAT (DVB-S/S2) signals to more subscribers. It is the end-user who decides what programs to watch by purchasing the appropriate satellite receiver or by signing an individual contract with one of the digital platform providers. TERRA products, dedicated to use SMATV systems, are primarily top-class equipment covered by a four-year warranty. TV systems based on those components guarantee great signal reception for long.
In one of Krakow's housing estates the multiswitch system has been installed, based on TERRA equipment.
An antenna mast has been mounted on the flat roof of the building, on which a 120 cm satellite dish is suspended, ensuring reception of signals from two satellite positions: Hotbird 13°E and Astra 19.2°E. For terrestrial TV DVB-T/T2 in the VHF and UHF bands respectively, antennas used were: Dipol 4/5-12 A0140 (vertical polarization), Dipol 44/21-60 Tri Digit A2670 (horizontal polarization), while for FM radio the antenna Dipol 1RUZ PM B A0221. To equalize and increase signal levels in the system the SA-91L R70901 amplifier with eight satellite inputs and one DVB-T/T2/Radio input have been used. The signals were then distributed via SD-904 R70523 splitters to four MV-916L R70866 multiswitches, each powered by the SA-91L R70901 bus amplifier. The cast housing of TERRA devices guarantees high screening efficiency – class A.
LTE antenna selection. Wireless Internet access services provided by mobile network operators are an increasingly popular access method chosen by subscribers. Depending on the transmitter and mobile operator, wireless access services can be provided using different data transmission techniques. The most popular technology is LTE allowing to achieve real throughputs up to 100 - 150 Mbps (in theory up to 600 Mbps).

Joining oblique (APC) and straight (UPC) optical connectors. Single mode fiber optic connectors can come in two ferrule cut versions: APC (angled physical contact) and UPC (Ultra Physical Contact). In UPC connectors the ferrule face is flat, whereas in the APC, the connector face is polished at an 8 degree angle. Thanks to the latter solution, when the light passes through the media boundary (i.e. at the junction of two connectors), the reflection of light is much lower, which has favorable effect on transmission performance.
In many cases transmitting devices require using specific type of ferrule ground. The use of other than recommended type results in much higher attenuation of the connection and in extreme cases can lead to damage of the connector in the device or cable plug. Always make sure what type of connector is used in a given device. In case the fiber optic cable is terminated with an inappropriate type of connector, an adapter and connecting pachcord or a much more convenient solution with an adapter can be used.

When the device requires an SC/APC (green) connector and the cable is ended with the SC/UPC (blue) connector, the L4401 adapter can be used to ensure proper ferrule matching. Otherwise the L4402 adapter should be used.

How to set up the near focus limit in Hikvision PTZ cameras? PTZ cameras can be used for monitoring both near and far zones. Thanks to high zooming factors, the imaging can have the appropriate quality (pixels per meter). However, to avoid focusing on objects which are closer than other of interest, it is necessary to set up a minimum focusing distance. This will eliminate the situation when the camera provides a sharp image of a close object, but the images of more distant objects (like a street light or a tree) are blurred.
